Permanent Commission on Quality Assurance (PCQA)

Based on Article 35 of the Statute of EPOKA University, the Permanent Commission on Quality Assurance (PCQA) is responsible for internal quality assurance at the University. The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance consists of at least eight members, including a chairperson, a member of the full-time academic staff from any main unit with at least the scientific degree "Doctor" and without leading to high-level duties, at least two members of the administrative staff, a representative of the graduates of the University, as well as an external specialist with a wealth of experience in quality assurance issues, whom are elected by the Academic Senate, for a period of two years, eligible for reappointment. The Deputy Chairman of the Student Council for quality assurance issues is also member of the Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance. The meetings of the PCQA are presided by the Head of the Commission, and in his absence, the Commission is presided by the most senior member of academic staff.

The PCQA Responsibilities
1
The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance is responsible for developing policies and procedures for internal quality assurance, acts which are approved by the Academic Senate;

The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance is responsible for developing standards for quality assurance in accordance with the Quality Code, approved by the Academic Senate;

The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance oversees the implementation of policies, procedures and standards for quality assurance in the university;

The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance is responsible for conducting the periodic evaluation of results of the educational activities and scientific research, monitoring and coordination of activities undertaken within the academic and administrative evaluation, to improve quality through evaluation reports, periodic inspection and monitoring of improvement of quality in the university;

After each evaluation, the Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance reports to the Academic Senate the results and relevant proposals;

The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance is responsible for planning and coordinating of the implementation of the internal and external evaluation procedures of the University, as well as study programs, in accordance with the applicable legal framework, state quality standards, regulations, guidelines, University policies and procedures;

The Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance enjoys a operative autonomy and access to the data of the institution;

The functioning of the Permanent Commission of Quality Assurance is determined by special regulations.
